Olympus has unveiled its newest camera, and I am intrigued. The camera has the compact (reasonably) feel of a point and shoot and many of the advantages of a DSLR. So what does micro 4/3 mean in practical terms? This is the question that I asked when preparing this article. It means that the camera utilizes the same type of sensor that is used in many DSLRs. However no room is made for a mirror and a pentaprism, making the more convenient smaller camera bodies possible. The Olympus provides many interesting features including HD video (720P) and numerous image recording options. They have also made several lenses and other accessories for the camera, making it even more appealing. Check out an image of the newly released camera below. O, and by the way the camera retails for around 7-900 USD depending on package.
Cheers.
