Great, wonderful news for Cliq and Droid owners. Android 2.1 is coming! Motorola tweeted the news, and what news this is. As of today, The Google Nexus One is the only phone running Android 2.1. The Motorola Droid is the only phone in the US to run Android 2.0, and the Cliq is still using Android 1.5! This will be a welcome change for Cliq users in particular who are now several releases behind the 2.1 release.
The Cliq has been received with widespread fanfare up to this point, and this should only increase the positive perception people have of the device. Motorla is also working on Flash 10.1 for the Droid which is indeed another welcome bit of news. No official date has been set for the release of these updates, but now owners of these phones have something on the horizon!
